Born in Honduras is the English-language blog of a Honduran male —Ardegas— who mostly writes in Spanish. Its original objective was to discuss topics such as Honduran politics and culture for an international readership, with special attention to the American readership, but now he mostly translates some of his posts published in his Spanish-language blog “Nacer en Honduras” (which can be translated as ‘To be Born in Honduras’), which is directed mainly to Honduran readers. He intends to return to the original objective and to write more for the “Born in Honduras” blog in the future.
In the author's opinion —Ardegas— what happened on June 28, 2009, when Manuel Zelaya Rosales was expelled from the country, was not a coup d'Etat, but he certainly doesn't regard himself as a rightist.

En la opinión de su autor — Árdegas— lo sucedido en el 28 de junio de 2009 cuando Manuel Zelaya Rosales fue expulsado del país no fue un golpe de Estado, aunque no por eso se considera como una persona de derechas.
