La creación de Cocina Hondureña y Más nació pensando en todas aquellas personas a quienes les encanta la comida típica hondureña, o en aquellos que simplemente quieren recordar y/o aprender las maravillas del arte culinario, no exclusivamente para la gente de Honduras, sino también para aquellos interesados de cualquier país. Es un placer para mi el compartir (en español y en inglés) con ustedes algo tan importante para nuestra cultura culinaria, especialmente para aquellos que habitan fuera de Honduras. Estoy segura que las recetas les serán de gran ayuda. También dentro de este blog encontrarán historias y leyendas Hondureñas.

The creation of Cocina Hondureña y Más (Honduran cuisine and more) came about from thinking of all those who love the typical Honduran meal or simply want to remember and/or learn the culinary wonders, not just for people from Honduras but also for those from other countries who are interested. It is my pleasure to share with you (in Spanish and English) something so important to our food culture, especially for those who live outside of Honduras. I'm sure the recipes will be of great help. Su intención es colocar el dedo sobre la llaga, pero también proponer soluciones a las problemáticas que enfrenta nuestra país, consciente de que solo mediante el desarrollo económico podrá Honduras convertirse en una sociedad más justa. Se manifiesta a favor de la familia, a favor del estado de derecho, a favor de la libertad económica e individual y totalmente en contra de la anarquía, el caos y la falta de razón.

El Pergamino de la Derecha (The Rightist Parchment) is a blog that works to to transmit the principles of economic freedom. Its intention is to point out the wrongs, but also to propose solutions to the problems that Honduras faces, conscious that only with economic development can Honduras transform itself into a more just society. The blog manifests itself in favor of family, the rule of law, individual and economic freedom, and totally against anarchy, chaos and lack of reason.

El autor, José Falck Zepeda es un ciudadano hondureño, un Investigador trabajando para la Divison del Medio Ambiente y las Tecnologias de Produccion en el Instituto Internacional de Investigacion de las Politicas de los Alimentos (IFPRI) en Washington, DC. Las opiniones del blog de Jose son suyas solamente.

According to the author of Honduras: Free, Democratic, Independent, the mission of this blog is to highlight the positive attributes and limitations of his country Honduras, and how it said NO on June 28 2009 to the dictatorship, totalitarianism, obedience without question, and the lack of pluralism that the ex-president Manuel Zelaya Rosales and other politicians of his country, still hold dear.

The author, Jose Falck Zepeda, is a Honduran citizen and is a Research Fellow, working for the Environment and Production Technology Division at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) in Washington, DC. The opinions in his blog are his and his only.

Hondubirding

Hondubirding es básicamente un blog con información extensa sobre la observación de aves en Honduras con sus listados de especies por zona e información de estas, así como una extensa sección fotográfica por cada entrada, haciendo énfasis en la avifauna local hondureña.

El blog comenzó en el año 2006 durante una tarde de ideas a medio camino y casi después de four años, el blog ha madurado y aún sigue con fuerza con posts de vez en cuando, sin olvidar la extensa base de datos que ha sido compilada a través de casi 10 años de pajarear con hondureños y turistas extranjeros.

Así que siéntanse libres de visitarnos en Hondudirding y dejar un par de palabras.

Hondubirding is basically a birding resource blog for species and hotspots for birding in Honduras. There are travel lists and directions to get to the places and a very extensive photograph section for each post, highlighting the local Honduran avifauna.

The blog came to be in 2006 during an afternoon of freshly half baked ideas, almost four years after the blog has matured and is still going strong with eventual posts, but not forgetting the strong database compiled from our almost 10 years out and about birding with the locals and foreign tourists.

So....feel free to drop by Hondubirding and leave a few words.

Learn and Play

Learn and Play is an educational space where I want to share some of the activities of my work as a preschool teacher. We focus on English language teaching. Among these activities are field trips, celebrations, the themes and form of participation that children have, because in the world there are so many ways to implement the same things and for me it is interesting to discover these things on the Internet. Children are wonderful. Learning to work with them and understand their imaginary world is a big challenge because we are responsible to fill a good part of that world with solid elements and values that they will find meaning in the beginning of their early formation but will remember for a lifetime.

Learn and Play (Aprender y Jugar) es un espacio educativo, donde quiero dar a conocer algunas de la actividades de mi trabajo que realizamos como maestra de pre-kinder. Nos enfocámos en la enseñanza del idioma inglés. Entre esas actividades están los paseos, las celebraciones, los temas y la forma de participación que tienen los niños, ya que en el mundo hay tantas formas de aplicar las mismas cosas y para mi se volvió algo interesante descubrirlas a través del internet. Los niños y niñas son maravillos(as). Aprender a trabajar con ellos y entender su mundo (imaginario) es un gran reto porque somos responsables una buena parte de llenar ese mundo de elementos sólidos y de valores, que le encontraran sentido en el comienzo de su formación primaria pero que recordaremos para toda la vida.

Diego, uno de los blogueros más jóvenes de Honduras, es un estudiante de sistemas computacionales que está muy involucrado en la promoción de la tecnología de código abierto, especialmente de Ubuntu, así como la promoción de los valores cristianos católicos en su comunidad local. Él escribe su blog en inglés y español.

El Blog de Diego es un blog que habla sobre las experiencias de la comunidad local de Ubuntu en Honduras, charlas, exposciones, u otras actividades que se realizan en el pais. Tambien, es un blog informativo que brinda tutoriales sobre aplicaciones libres a nuevos usuarios, y experiencias propias para que sirvan de ayuda a los usuarios.
