Es un placer para mi el compartir (en español y en inglés) con ustedes algo tan importante para nuestra cultura culinaria, especialmente para aquellos que habitan fuera de Honduras. Neurocosmos: Blog literario de David Morán

Neurocosmos es un pequeño rincón donde se fraguan una serie de vaguedades literarias de amplio espectro, flojas de forma pero firmes en su propósito. Me lo planteé como remedio contra el sedentarismo estéril. Se ejercitaron un amasijo de chispeantes neuronas que sin consciencia ni pretensión lograron una exótica emergencia: el microcosmos de poesía bizarra, hecha para enmudecer el recital de los labios y ensalzar la música en los ojos que la aprecian, pues para eso fue concebida, como un fugaz destello sideral, gracias al milagro del valor añadido.

Este es Neurocosmos, el más querido y abandonado de mis blogs. Humilde galaxia remota, conforme con el destino de ser devorada por el más oscuro de los agujeros negros. Pero antes de que esto ocurra, favor repasarla con sus ojos cantores.

Neurocosmos is a little corner where a series of literary vagaries of a broad spectrum are forged, loose in their form but firm in their purpose. I proposed it to myself as a remedy against sterile slothfulness. It required the exercise of a jumble of sparkling neurons that, unconsciously and without pretension, achieved an exotic emergency: A microcosm of bizarre poetry, created to mute the recital of the lips, and to extol the music in the eyes that appreciate it, because it was conceived for that, as a sidereal fleeting gleam, thanks to the miracle of added value.

This is Neurocosmos, my most beloved and abandoned of my blogs — humble and remote galaxy, resigned to the fate of being devoured by the darkest of black holes. But before this happens, please go over and examine it with a musical eye.

Diary of a Third World Fashionista

La Ceiba isn’t exactly a fashion capital. Therefore, “Diary of a Third World Fashionista” isn’t your typical style blog. My love for fashion began in my grandma’s closet and ever since then I spend hours dissecting fashion magazines and attending sewing courses in government institutes trying to make the most of the few resources my country offers.

On this blog I share my challenges as I open up a sewing shop, my fabulous finds in second hand/thrift shops, the funny reactions from people when they notice my clothes don’t match on purpose and the unexpected places I get my inspiration from (from Central Park to nearby towns). It is simply a personal escape in which I try to remind myself that all I have to do is be constant in fighting for a dream and enjoying the obstacles while I’m at it. I do this all light-heartedly and, obviously, in 5-inch heels.

La Ceiba no es exactamente una capital de la moda. Por lo tanto, “Diario de una Fashionista del Tercer Mundo” no es tu típico blog de estilo. Mi amor por la moda comenzó en el closet de mi abuelita y desde entonces paso horas disecando revistas de lo mismo y tomando cursos de costura en institutos del gobierno aprovechando los pocos recursos que mi país me ofrece.

En este blog comparto mis retos al querer abrir mi taller de costura, mis compras fabulosas en tiendas de segunda, las reacciones graciosas de las personas al ver que mi ropa no combina a propósito y los lugares inesperados de donde sale mi inspiración (desde el Parque Central hasta los pueblos cercanos). Es simplemente un escape personal en el que busco recordarme a mi misma que lo importante es luchar por los sueños y disfrutar los obstáculos. Todo esto lo hago con un corazón liviano y, obviamente, en tacones de cinco pulgadas.

Nacido para Triunfar

He decidido escribir mi blog "Nacido para Triunfar" para motivar a otros a comenzar a vivir una vida plena y motivarse. Motivo a otros a encontrar su propósito y a utilizar sus dones, talentos y habilidades para alcanzar sus sueños. Estoy convencida de que cada persona es especial y muy valiosa y que tiene un propósito único por el cual está en esta tierra. Muchos tienen sueños que no se atreven a hacerlos realidad, para ellos mi mensaje es: Atrévete a vivir, Atrévete a triunfar... Así como otros han soñado, yo sueño con un mundo en que cada persona se siente feliz y plenamente realizada, porque tiene un propósito claro y se desarrolla en sus áreas de fortaleza. Sueño con un mundo en el que se busca la excelencia en el hacer y vivir diario.

Para lograr ser exitosos en nuestra vida, tenemos que romper algunos esquemas mentales que nos detienen y nos impiden crecer. Debemos atrevernos a cruzar fronteras reales e imaginarias. Para eso necesitamos estar motivados y tener confianza en que si podremos. Mi grano de arena es ayudar a motivarte a realizar tu propósito.

Hondubirding

Hondubirding es básicamente un blog con información extensa sobre la observación de aves en Honduras con sus listados de especies por zona e información de estas, así como una extensa sección fotográfica por cada entrada, haciendo énfasis en la avifauna local hondureña.

El blog comenzó en el año 2006 durante una tarde de ideas a medio camino y casi después de four años, el blog ha madurado y aún sigue con fuerza con posts de vez en cuando, sin olvidar la extensa base de datos que ha sido compilada a través de casi 10 años de pajarear con hondureños y turistas extranjeros.

Hondubirding is basically a birding resource blog for species and hotspots for birding in Honduras. There are travel lists and directions to get to the places and a very extensive photograph section for each post, highlighting the local Honduran avifauna.

The blog came to be in 2006 during an afternoon of freshly half baked ideas, almost four years after the blog has matured and is still going strong with eventual posts, but not forgetting the strong database compiled from our almost 10 years out and about birding with the locals and foreign tourists.

En la costa norte Hondureña tenemos la costumbre de sustituir las "S" por la "J" de alli viene el Jampedrano.

Un blog escrito por un jampedrano que describe sus vivencias dentro y fuera de San Pedro Sula, comparte sus puntos vista aun y cuando no sean del gusto popular, su desencanto con la politica, la religion, el futbol y la idiotez extrema (si es que los tres anteriores no son la misma cosa, segun el al autor)

Existe el espacio para la recomendacion filmica y musical, la posibilidad de jugar Pac-Man (por sino le gusta el blog) y la comedia, aunque aclara desde antes que el tipo de humor no es tan explicito, al preguntar al autor sobre esto solo contesto "viva el Sarcasmo".

Someone from San Pedro Sula is called a Sampedrano in Spanish. In the Honduran north coast, we have the habit of replacing the "S" with "J" when we speak, so that’s where “Jampedrano” comes from.

This is a blog written by a Jampedrano describing his experiences in and out of San Pedro Sula, sharing his viewpoints, even when they are not popularly palatable, as well as his disenchantment with politics, religion, soccer, and extreme idiocy (that is, if the first three are not synonymous with the last).

In addition, there is space for film and musical recommendations, the opportunity to play Pac-Man (in case you dislike the blog) and comedy, although it should be noted that the type of humor is not very explicit; questioning the author about this, he answered only: "long live sarcasm".

This blog is written by Luís Matute, formerly a broadcaster at radio station “Radioactiva 997”in Honduras, in addition to being part of the musical group Bakkan. He currently resides outside of San Pedro Sula, and is Honduran, obviously.

El Catracho

Antes de Internet la libertad de expresión se supeditaba al mero ejercicio periodístico, al juicio selectivo de un editor todopoderoso quien decidía lo que debía leer el público, con limitados espacios para el resto del pueblo que gozaba del mismo derecho, pero con poco poder para ejercerlo. Gracias al avance de la tecnología se logró que el ciudadano común pueda optar por un auténtico espacio personal, libre, donde es capaz de expresar su pensamiento, no sólo al país, sino que también al resto del mundo. Con el formato llamado Blog la libertad de expresión es una realidad global, donde el individuo comparte su palabras más allá de una frontera.

Así surge “El Catracho”, espacio virtual que acoge comentarios de su humilde autor, David Morán, escritor de oficio sin beneficio y poeta por necesidad. Se destilan temas políticos, culturales, deportivos y de otra variedad relacionados con Honduras y el resto del mundo. Son apreciaciones a veces jocosas, irónicas, chocantes, controvertidas, que de ninguna manera pretende competir con el periodismo ni tomar su estilo.

Quedan invitados los lectores de Honduras Blog a pasarse por este pequeño lugar.

Prior to the Internet, freedom of expression depended exclusively on the exercise of journalism under the selective judgment of an all-powerful editor who decided what the public should read, with limited spaces for the rest of the people who enjoyed the same right, but with little power to exercise it. Ciencias, Política y Religión es por el Doctor Edwin Francisco Herrera Paz.

Este blog nació como 'La Honduras Valiente' durante el punto más álgido de la crisis política en Honduras con el objeto de contrarrestar los ataques externos a nuestro país. Al siguiente día de la defenestración del ex-presidente Manuel Zelaya Rosales en el mes de junio de 2009, la gigantesca maquinaria informática del bloque socialista sudamericano comenzó un ataque continuo e implacable contra Honduras. Los presidentes de Bolivia, Venezuela, Ecuador y Argentina en confabulación con el titular de la OEA, José Miguel Inzulsa, consiguieron la votación unánime de los países miembros para la expulsión de Honduras de esa organización. Muchos hondureños − que hasta ese momento habíamos permanecido neutrales − comenzamos la acción patriótica de diseminar la información sobre el estado real de la situación en el país.

Al finalizar la crisis y con el retorno a la vida democrática, el blog fue renombrado 'Ciencias, Polítca y Religión' y la temática del blog se desplazó hacia artículos de interés general, como la educación en Honduras, la situación de la corrupción gubernamental, la cultura de la pobreza, además de artículos de ciencia, filosofía científica y popular, de contenido religioso y una que otra banalidad. El blog está orientado hacia la producción de pensamiento crítico en diversos temas, además de hacer énfasis en el abordaje sistémico de los problemas tomando en cuenta que las sociedades, como los gobiernos y el ser humano en todos sus aspectos, son entidades que se encuentran incluidas dentro de la categoría de sistemas complejos, para los cuales existen muchas soluciones posibles. En diversos artículos, además de la exposición de un problema, se presentan algunas posibles soluciones que en determinadas circunstancias pueden resultar polémicas.

La inclinación política del blog no es ni de izquierda ni de derecha, habidas cuentas de que cualquier sistema político puede ofrecer soluciones adecuadas a los diversos problemas de las naciones. Sin embargo desde el punto de vista religioso es esencialmente cristiano, sin ofrecer tregua, excepto cuando se trata de moderar la polémica entre ciencia y religión, temas que desde el punto de vista del autor son complementarios y no contradictorios.

Durante la crisis política se sugirió en algunos artículos un nuevo sistema político basado en una mayor participación de los ciudadanos en la vida pública de las naciones. Para este fin los gobiernos deberían implementar un sistema de canalización de las opiniones e ideas de los ciudadanos mediante un software que emule las redes sociales y que integre un complejo sistema de votación en tiempo real. Dicho aparato informático, basado en la inteligencia colectiva, constituiría un verdadero cuarto poder en el sistema de pesos y contrapesos de las democracias modernas.

Ciencias, Política y Religión (Science, Politics, and Religion) is a Spanish-language blog by Doctor Edwin Francisco Herrera Paz.

This blog was born as 'La Honduras Valiente' during the height of the political crisis in Honduras in order to counter external threats to our country. The day after the sacking of former President Manuel Zelaya Rosales in June 2009, the giant informational machinery of the South American socialist bloc began a continuous and relentless attack against Honduras. The presidents of Bolivia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Argentina, in collusion with the head of the OAS, José Miguel Inzulsa, got the unanimous vote of the member countries for the expulsion of Honduras from that organization. Many Hondurans, who had hitherto remained neutral, started the patriotic action of disseminating information about the real state of the situation in the country.

After the crisis and the return to democracy, the blog was renamed 'Ciencias, Polítca y Religión' (Science, Politics, and Religion) and the theme of the blog shifted to general interest articles, such as education in Honduras, the situation of government corruption, the culture of poverty, as well as articles of science, scientific and popular philosophy, religious content and the occasional banality. The blog is geared towards the production of critical thinking in various topics and to emphasize the systemic approach, taking into account the problems that companies, governments and human beings in all their aspects are entities that are included within the category of complex systems, for which there are many possible solutions. In several articles, in addition to the exposure of a problem, are some possible solutions that in some circumstances can be controversial.

The political slant of the blog is neither left nor right; any political system can provide adequate solutions to the various problems of nations. However, from the religious point of view it is essentially Christian, offering no respite, except when it comes to moderating the debate between science and religion, issues from the point of view of the author are complementary and not contradictory.

During the political crisis, some articles suggested a new political system based on greater participation of citizens in public life of nations. To this end, governments should implement a system for channeling the views and ideas of the people using software to emulate the social networks and integrating a complex voting system in real time. The computerized device, based on collective intelligence, would be a real fourth power in the system of checks and balances of a modern democracy.

Born in Honduras is the English-language blog of a Honduran male —Ardegas— who mostly writes in Spanish. Its original objective was to discuss topics such as Honduran politics and culture for an international readership, with special attention to the American readership, but now he mostly translates some of his posts published in his Spanish-language blog “Nacer en Honduras” (which can be translated as ‘To be Born in Honduras’), which is directed mainly to Honduran readers. He intends to return to the original objective and to write more for the “Born in Honduras” blog in the future.

In the author's opinion —Ardegas— what happened on June 28, 2009, when Manuel Zelaya Rosales was expelled from the country, was not a coup d'Etat, but he certainly doesn't regard himself as a rightist.

Pero ahora se dedica más que todo a traducir algunos artículos de su blog en español “Nacer en Honduras”, el cual está enfocado a un público hondureño. Él planea volver a su objetivo original y escribir más para el blog “Born in Honduras” en el futuro.

Though CSI Roatan may evoke thoughts of crime scene investigation, this English-language blog by a Honduran is subtitled "Conservation, Sciosophy & Innovation". Aunque CSI Roatan evoca escenas de crimenes y detectives en accion, este blog escrito en Ingles por un Hondureño que nunca vivió en los Estados Unidos, se compone de tres elementos: Conservacion, sciosofia e innovacion.

Roatan - Honduras - Mar Caribe - es una escena donde se experimienta el encuentro de culturas, pasiones y habilidades. La conservacion de este ´paraiso´, el uso de conocimientos, experiencia e innovacion nos permite vivir nuestro propio sueño. Este sitio trae una fuerte mezcla de temas verdes con pensamiento y descubrimientos esotericos e innovadores. Cristo en Sangre

“Cristo en Sangre” o “Sangre de Cristo” es un blog sobre religión escrito por alguien que no profesa una religión, pero que se ha interesado por las cuestiones religiosas desde una temprana edad. Las muchas lecturas y meditaciones lo han llevado a la conclusión de la falsedad del cristianismo. Sin embargo es agnóstico sobre el tema de Dios, detesta el ateísmo militante, y está abierto a la posibilidad de lo sobrenatural.

A pesar de que el autor no es un creyente cristiano, además de las críticas al cristianismo hay algunos artículos escritos desde un punto de vista cristiano, y una colección de oraciones católicas, esotéricas y metafísicas.

La alusión a la sangre de Cristo en el nombre del blog hace referencia al dogma central del cristianismo, a la superstición y bizarrismo cristiano, y a la idea de la muerte de Dios de Nietzsche.
